Véronique Chance: Thames Run: Source to Sea (Totally Thames Festival)

An image of the artwork displayed on a wall.

On the 31st of May 2021, as we were emerging from the 3rd National Lockdown of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Véronique Chance began the live artwork and durational run Thames Run: Source to Sea from a stone in field in Gloucestershire.

She continued running daily, ending her journey at the Isle of Grain in Kent on the 13th of June 2021.

Audiences tracked her movements live online, using GPS, live streaming and social media. Each evening she wrote a blog entry to record what had taken place.

This exhibition translates this epic journey into a multi-media installation encompassing drawing, print, photography video and sound.

There will be a Performance Reading at 2pm on Saturday 10th September.
