Deadline extended to 5pm Monday 17 February!
The Future of Craft is excited to announce a new feature for 2020, supporting new and emerging talent during London Craft Week.
The Future of Craft is a ground-breaking partnership led by Oxo Tower Wharf, in collaboration with Design-Nation and Future Icons. A destination hub for London Craft Week, The Future of Craft’s inaugural show in May 2019 showcased over 40 makers throughout Oxo Tower Wharf’s iconic Bargehouse. With a mix of showcases, talks and workshops, The Future of Craft welcomed visitors to discover and learn about the latest contemporary talents and techniques in the world of craft. The show welcomed over 1800 visitors and produced significant UK and global press both pre and post-show for the collaborators and makers alike.
Now in its second year, The Future of Craft invites high calibre contemporary designer-makers to apply to the new The Future of Craft Selects feature. A curated showcase of individual makers as part of the exhibition.
We have 11 spots available with spaces ranging between 4-7 m2 on the fourth floor of Bargehouse. We are looking for innovative makers with quality craftsmanship at the heart of their practice. Whether you’re brand new to the world of craft and design or an established designer we’re interested in original products and objects using techniques we can get excited about.
The Future of Craft 2020 takes place 29 April – 3 May 2020 and is an official partner of London Craft Week.
