Figures made from river mud

Observe artist and activist Liz Crow as she sculpts 650 small human figures from excavated river mud.

Each of the figures will represent an individual affected by austerity, the number 650 reflecting the number of constituencies throughout the UK. Though made in the same form, no two figures will be the same, representing both the commonality of humanity and individual stories within.

During the sculpting phase of Figures, Platform, Oxo Tower Wharf, will play host to an exhibition space where the individual figures will be amassed over the course of eleven consecutive days. The exhibition space will seek to engage visitors with the performance and the themes of each of the narratives.
