Brazil Pop Up Diner at OXO2

Brazil Pop Up Diner presents a Brazilian food festival at the riverside venue, OXO2. While football vists Brazil, Brazilian cuisine comes to London. Brazil Pop Up Diner launched to great success in March this year, offering a series of supper club style events taking diners on a culinary journey through the twelve Brazilian cities that will be hosting the 2014 Fifa World Cup. The second phase of events starts this month and will be presented in a festival format: from 19 to 23 May. Guests will experience menus designed by Brazil Pop Up Diner creative chef Marcelo de Campos showcasing the local cuisines of Brazil’s host cities. The grand finale will see Salvador and Rio de Janeiro cities represented by a menu designed by Marcelo, in collaboration with TV chef and food consultant (aka the Pie Man), Andy Bates.UK based chef Andre Morin, who previously worked at Brazil´s most famous cookery school, SENAC, is behind the research and execution of the São Paulo menu – celebrating the city´s melting pot of cultures on 22 May. Each event will feature a three course meal inspired by one of the World Cup hosting cities with cocktails by Leblon Cachaça and music from the region.

The line up: 

19 May: Brazil Pop Up Diner Bar – open from 1pm to 9pm serving bar food and drinks

20 May: Curitiba and Porto Alegre

21 May: Belo Horizonte & Natal

22 May: São Paulo

23 May: Rio de Janeiro/Salvador – the two most iconic Brazilian cities will be the host of a street food extravaganza with menus designed by Andy Bates, inspired by his Food Network TV show “Brazilian Street Feasts” and Brazil Pop Up Diner creative chef, Marcelo de Campos.

The price:  Each meal will offer diners with an exotic and unusual Brazilian feast and will include a Leblon caipirinha cocktail, pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), starter, main course, dessert, coffee & chocolate  – all priced at £35 a head.  Tickets can be brought here. Leblon Bar is open every day for drinks and bites and does not require reservation.

The opening hours:  Drinks and bar food: Monday to Friday 1pm–10pm Prix fixe menu: Tuesday to Friday 6pm–9.30pm
