Malaysia Kitchen Spring Market

Enjoy a taste of Malaysia this spring at the first ever Malaysia Kitchen Spring Market taking place this bank holiday weekend on 3 and 4 May.

The free event which takes place on London’s South Bank, between Oxo Tower Wharf and Waterloo Bridge, will see 12 different Malaysian restaurants from across the UK gather to showcase the very best in Malaysian cuisine, selling everything from Beef Rendang and Chicken Satay through to delicious Laksa.

Experience this unique country through its food and find out more about why Malaysian cuisine is the hot new trend.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase Malaysian ingredients to recreate authentic tasting dishes at home, to wow friends and family.

Experience Malaysian culture, watching performances throughout the day from singer Bonnie Freechyld and her band, while sampling some of the best Malaysian cuisine in the country.

Experience new flavours with The Singleton at the world’s first whisky night market.

In order to celebrate the launch of their two new Single Malts: Tailfire and Sunray, The Singleton are partnering with exciting and experimental characters from the world of food and drink to bring you The Singleton Whisky Night Market.

The Singleton Whisky Night Market will be an evening filled with incredible food, awe-inspiring drinks, experimental cocktails, theatrical whisky presentations, and comedy all bringing to life the fun you can have with single malts in the stunning surroundings of London’s South Bank.

Tastemakers at the market include: the world’s best female bartender, Andrea Montague who will be concocting world-class cocktails; Brand Ambassador, Colin Dunn who will be on hand to impart some of his Single Malts expertise; supper club experts, Forza Win and the team from Mark Hix will be providing the food; for those with a sweet tooth, artisan chocolatiers Cocomaya are creating specially designed chocolates and The Marshmallowists have created the UK’s first whisky marshmallows especially for Tailfire and Sunray. They will be joined by many more!

Scope’s Sculpture Exhibition

Scope is delighted to announce their first-ever sculpture exhibition. Ingrid Sterling, a long time supporter of Scope, together with other English sculptors have created  this exhibition as a fundraising event.

Ingrid’s sculptures are both bold and questioning, giving each piece a character of its own and she has specially cast and created an exciting range of works that will be on display throughout the week. Ingrid has commissioned work and exhibited in the United Kingdom, Europe, USA and South Africa.

Late openings on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 June.

This year Brunel graduates are focussing on how their learning experience has prepared them for future endeavours.

“Being taught by professionals and working with clients has given us a foundation to build our careers upon, providing us with the necessary skills and knowledge to make our mark.

The theme reflects our belief that graduating from Brunel is not the ultimate accomplishment but is Only the Beginning.”
