Testimonials

Take a look at the feedback we’ve had from universities…

“Taking Brunel University’s Made in Brunel design and engineering showcase to Bargehouse after five years in Islington was a significant step to take, but one which was hugely successful. In making this move, we recognised the huge potential of the site, allowing our students an almost unique sense of freedom to design and create a whole visitor experience in a venue rich in history and atmosphere. The venue enabled us to present the best of modern student design to a vastly expanded audience of design professionals, friends, family, businesses and media, all inspired by design and drawn in part by the excellent central location as well as the fascinating work on display.

“Another reason for the success of Made in Brunel was the support offered by Coin Street Community Builders who went well beyond the call of duty in helping the University and the students to deliver an excellent week of events and activities at Bargehouse. I was hugely impressed with the whole team there and hope to have the opportunity to work with them again soon on this or other projects.”
Clive Gee, University Director of Development & Alumni Relations at Brunel. Exhibitor in 2011, 2012, 2013 – booked for 2014.

For the last two years our final year theatre designers relocate to London for their weekend-long exhibition at Bargehouse on the South Bank. It’s a chance for students to showcase their work to industry professionals in the heart of cultural London. Bargehouse is both an extraordinary building and location, four and half stories of Victorian warehouse situated between the National Theatre and Tate Modern. The spaces are large and deeply atmospheric; the students are immediately inspired by the opportunity and have excelled in creating their final show. The exhibition at Bargehouse in the last two years has attracted nearly 2000 visitors and given our graduates an unequalled experience and opportunity.”
Sean Crowley, Head of Production & DesignTheatre Design at Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama. Exhibitor in 2011, 2012, 2013 – booked for 2014.
