X-POSE: MATERIAL AND SURFACE

Hugh Turvey is an artist with an international reputation. His work is held in public and private collections throughout the world and he is currently the artist in residence at the British Institute of Radiology. Bridging the gap between science and art, graphic design and pure photography. His work has been used in a range of media, commercially for marketing and advertising to film, TV and by architects and interior designers.

Hugh has photographed everything from a stiletto (Femme Fatale, pictured) to an elephant skull, mandibles included(also pictured). The exhibition in gallery@oxo features a larger collection of personal work and collaborative work such as a shark x-ray surf board, a collection of botanicals and the magnificent elephant head X-ray.

For this year’s Valentine’s Day, the Oxo Tower is blowing a giant 36,000 watt kiss to London. The brainchild of Hugh Turvey will be glowing from 10-14 February.
