Totally Thames 2017 : Future Dust

This year’s Totally Thames programme will include Future Dust, a thought-provoking and timely large-scale installation by artist Maria Arceo exploring the global issue of plastic pollution.

After beachcombing, handpicking, identifying, and colour coding the found objects from the river, artist Maria Arceo will display her latest work, Future Dust, a large-scale artwork that aims to visualise the overwhelming amounts of plastic collected from 40 locations along the Thames foreshore, while allowing the viewer to relate with these found objects when examined up close. The installation will tour to different riverside locations across London and will be illuminated at dusk by Dutch interactive light artist Tim Scheffer.
