The Spiral of Containment: Rape’s Aftermath is a multimedia art installation exploring the psychological impact of rape through the imagination’s eye.
Created by survivor and camerawoman Elisa L. Iannacone, the project aims to open up the dialogue revolving around rape, as well as act as a part of the healing process, allowing fellow survivors to express trauma through art. Through 25 rape survivors’ stories and a responsive soundscape, this installation will tackle taboos and allow audiences to become active participants within the environment.
