This new exhibition features a range of winning and highly commended entries from the Mervyn Peake Awards 2016.

An annual competition, organised by the charity Parkinson’s UK , the Mervyn Peake Awards showcases a range of creative work by people with Parkinson’s in the categories of art, photography, poetry, books and multimedia.

Featuring over 260 works by 195 artists, the display also includes images from This Is Parkinson’s. This photography project by Norwegian photographer Anders M. Leines offers an insight into the lives of people living with early-onset Parkinson’s.

“I get a buzz from being able to create excellent art and, for me, Parkinson’s actually heightened my creative skills and talent. The Mervyn Peake Awards gives me the opportunity to display these skills.” Alan Osborne – Highly commended in the Photography category for Mervyn Peake Awards 2016
